Hung with Stocking Care

The count down is on and are you ready for Santa to come?? Well I wanted to share with you all my friends company in hopes that it might help with some of those shopping lists . . .

Hello Whitewash & Co readers!  My name is Staci Edwards, and I’m the owner of Switch Studio.   Switch Studio is a super awesome upholstery and sewing shop {if I do say so myself} located in Oakville!

We carry high quality, designer fabrics, as well as offer custom solutions for all your upholstery and sewing needs.  Whether you need an old chair to be "switched" up and reupholstered, a new custom headboard to suit your style, or fabric to create gorgeous drapery and pillows to finish off your room – We're here to help!  Check out our website at www.switchstudio.ca.

Today I am here to introduce you to a new line of Christmas stockings I launched this year.  Speaking of Christmas, didn’t you love the decorations Jo found at Ikea?  I sure did! ("Your so sweet!! hehe" Jo) Anyway, on to the stockings…

My idea behind these stockings was a modern twist on the old classic stocking.  They are bright, cheery, and are sure to bring a smile to everyone’s face {including Santa himself}!

They are for sale at http://www.etsy.com/shop/SwitchStudioCanada for $30 each - But hurry, they are selling fast!  If you are local, feel free to swing by my studio to shop and save on shipping charges.

I hope you like them, and thanks so much to Jo for having me over today!

Thanks Stacy, the stockings are stunning!!  And what a stylish gift to give someone or to even be used as a gift bag with a gift within!!! My only question is, how do you decide on what one to get . . .  I love them all!!!

Happy Holiday Shopping Everyone!!

Until next time,

It's looking a lot like Christmas!!

Every year I dread putting up the Christmas decoration because that means snow is shortly to follow, augh!! However once it is up I always love it, it is such a romantic season!! This year I switched things up and realized I needed a few more touches to complete this new look, however I didn't want to spend a lot, so I turned my shopping search to IKEA! Which I am glad I did for I found some really cool items, check it out . . .

I had to have my white feather tree this year! However weight is an issue with the branches, and I didn't want to take away from the tree but I need to add something? I found some subtle pieces to finish off the look and really create that WOW factor, all for a great price!

Next I created a festive and budget friendly center piece set up on my coffee table. I had a bowl and a few red and silver ornaments, however by adding some plain red IKEA Christmas tree balls to the mix and one of their candles the look was complete and smells great!!
I was able to find a mix of IKEA pieces to sprinkle throughout. Each piece adding an interesting flare and festive feeling all the way through the house!!

Find fun seasonal decor at any IKEA!!

Tis the season, happy Christmas decorating everyone!!

Until next time,

The New Appliance Canada Showroom!

I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of the new Appliance Canada Showroom at 1380 Castlefield, Toronto. Smart move to be in the designers district, makes for easy shopping with your clients since now there is literally everything on Castlefield, rugs, lighting, furniture, ect and now even appliances!!  Make sure to stop in and see the new and very larger showroom with great displays. While I was appreciating their new space I made sure to catch up with friends and to enjoy the fab food and wine being severed!!

Great party Sharyn from Eventful PR! Can't wait till the next one :)

Until then,

High Tea All In The Name Of Charity!

This Thursday I held an event for a few friends in the industry to join me for High Tea at the Windsor Arms hotel, to catch up and support a great cause all at the same time, Look Good Feel Better!!! If you have been to the Windsor Arms for their very famous Afternoon Tea lately you might have seen a hat rack filled with fun and stylish hats begging you to try them on. If you haven't been, you must go. If you choose to wear one of the hats for $5 all proceeds go to the charity Look Good Feel Better. When I heard about this program offered at the hotel it was a must that I go! And of course I had to bring friends with me to enjoy in one of the oldest social gathering out there!!

It was a great afternoon with amazing food, friends, tea and hats!

We had the pleasure of Sherry Abbott join us with Doctor Alex to enlighten us on this fabulous foundation. (Sherry is the stylish lady on the right in the front of the magazine below.) Just a beautiful lady inside and out who has dealt with her fair share of cancer, losing her mother to it, friends and dealing with the aftermath of when she was diagnosed years ago.  However, this outgoing, spirited and stunning figure leads this charity with pride and support to spread the word in letting women know that their is hope out there and sometimes if can be be found in a tube of lipstick. "At Look Good Feel Better, we believe that an improved self-image can help lift women's spirits and nurture hope, helping them face their illness with greater confidence. We like to call it a 'makeover for the spirit'."

I don't know about you, but I know I always feel better with a fresh face on, and maybe new shoes too!! hehe

The kit above is packed full with all donated products from the cosmetic companies, thank you for supporting them!  Its the necessity that every women possesses as their secret weapon in creating that glow they wish to see staring back at them in the mirror! The program helps women to understand that they don't have to lose their self image while they are dealing with Cancer, they offer tips and tricks, support and best of all hope to those! https://www.lgfb.ca/content/show/content_id/92 Help spread the word and if you come across a great hat, Sherry would love to have it for the charity! :)

Thank you to everyone who graced their presence that afternoon, to Sherry and Alex for sharing their story with us and to Windsor Arms for hosting us and putting on such a great program within your tea room! The program is for anyone who chooses to enjoy afternoon tea with a stylish hat on at the Windsor Arms Hotel in Toronto.

Until next time
